Envision Pharmaceutical Services

The National Business Coalition on Health (NBCH) is pleased that Envision Pharmaceutical Services has been selected as a "preferred partner" by its Board of Governors after conducting more than eighteen months of due diligence in review of the pharmacy benefits management (PBM) company. The NBCH Board selected the company based on several key factors, namely its full financial disclosure and transparency business model, which is among the first to be introduced into the U.S. health care market, as well as its strong management team, and organizational direction.
"NBCH welcomes Envision Pharmaceutical Services as a preferred PBM partner. We believe their innovative pharmaceutical benefit purchasing strategy will be an attractive option to our business coalitions and their members," said Andrew Webber, President & CEO of NBCH.
Through NBCH's PBM preferred partner program, member coalitions leverage their collective buying power to obtain quality-based PBM services, including evidence-based formularies, innovative benefit design and cost-containment strategies, as well as discounted pricing, and performance standards. Although many coalitions have been independently engaged in PBM contracting at the local level, NBCH's PBM preferred partner program provides options to those coalitions without the resources or volume to purchase products on their own.
"We believe our innovative business model aligns itself with NBCH's goal of finding quality-based pharmaceutical benefits for employers, while introducing full financial disclosure and transparency into the health care market employing methodologies not previously seen," said Kevin M. Nagle, President & CEO of Envision Pharmaceutical Services.
Envision Pharmaceutical Services is a PBM formed in early 2002 that represents approximately 500,000 members nationwide, including health plans, employers, unions and trust funds, and other payers. It has designed and implemented patent pending point of sale technology for passing immediate savings to payers and offers a variety of other products and services unique to the market. Offices are located in Ohio, Florida, and California.
