NBCH to Convene 16th Annual Employer Benefits Conference

CMS’ Dr. Donald Berwick to keynote November 7-9 meeting focusing on better health, better care, lower costs

WASHINGTON and PHOENIX – October 6, 2011 – The National Business Coalition on Health (NBCH), a non-profit, membership organization of purchaser-led business and health coalitions, representing over 7,000 employers and 25 million employees and their dependents across the U.S., announced the lineup of confirmed speakers for its 16th Annual Conference being held in Phoenix, November 7-9. The conference will convene more than 400 health care stakeholders including business and health coalitions and employers from communities across the nation to share best practices and address value-based purchasing strategies.

Donald M. Berwick, MD, MPP, Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), will be the opening keynote speaker. Dr. Berwick will address the importance of private and public stakeholders working together to achieve better care and lower cost. Arnold Milstein, MD, MPH, Medical Director for the Pacific Business Group on Health will be the closing keynote.
